Homage to my Father

This is an excerpt from one of my Jazz and the Spirit concerts dedicated to my late father, Sid Weiss, one of the top jazz bass players of the swing era. He played with Tommy dorsey, Artie Shaw, Bennie Goodman, the Steve Allen Show, the Johnny Carson Show and many others. This totally improvised piece comes from recollections of his classical practicing and home and recordings I have heard. Thanks to my friend Steve Cox for putting this up on youtube.
